How to update iZotope plugins
iZotope ships updates through its Product Portal. PluginHub keeps an eye on the versions you have installed, flags the ones that are behind, and takes you to Product Portal to install them.
Where iZotope updates come from
iZotope installs and updates its plugins through its own application, iZotope Product Portal. That is where the installers live, so that is where an update gets installed.
How PluginHub helps
- It shows what you have. Every iZotope plugin on your machine, with its installed version, on one card.
- It tells you what is behind. PluginHub checks your versions against what iZotope currently ships, so an out-of-date plugin is flagged before you notice anything in a session.
- It sends you to the right place. The iZotope card has a button that opens iZotope Product Portal, where the update installs.
- Paid upgrades are marked. When a newer version is a paid upgrade rather than a free update, PluginHub says so, so you know before you click.
The steps
- Open PluginHub and run a check. The iZotope card lists any plugins with a newer version available.
- Open iZotope Product Portal from the card and install the updates there.
- Run another check. The flagged plugins show as up to date.
