How to update Waves plugins
Waves plugins are installed and updated by Waves Central. What Waves Central does not do is show you, across your whole collection, which plugins are behind. PluginHub does, and it opens Waves Central when it is time to install.
Where Waves updates come from
Waves installs and updates its plugins through its own application, Waves Central. That is where the installers live, so that is where an update gets installed.
How PluginHub helps
- It shows what you have. Every Waves plugin on your machine, with its installed version, on one card.
- It tells you what is behind. PluginHub checks your versions against what Waves currently ships, so an out-of-date plugin is flagged before you notice anything in a session.
- It sends you to the right place. The Waves card has a button that opens Waves Central, where the update installs.
The steps
- Open PluginHub and run a check. The Waves card lists any plugins with a newer version available.
- Open Waves Central from the card and install the updates there.
- Run another check. The flagged plugins show as up to date.
